Saving babies’ lives

Why? Not intentional of course. We have become so busy that most of our days are a blur, we move along in auto pilot. We wake up each day, get ready for work, get the children ready, off to work and …………….
My wife and I went out to eat with our two children. It was routine when stopping any where, I would automatically get my son out of my side of the car and my wife would get my daughter on the other side of the car. Not this time! My wife was on her cell phone talking to her mom and when she walked into the restaurant with my daughter missing she immediately could tell something was wrong by the look on my face. When I asked where she was, our hearts fell and we ran to the car to find her screaming and banging on the window in fear. We will never forget that moment and the worst didn’t happen to me as it has to many others.
Could you imagine that children DIE because they are forgotten by those that love them?
I couldn’t believe the number of fatalities until I searched the web. You will be shocked once you read the tragic stories. Following are just a few of the many stories and once you read them, YOU TOO WILL BELIEVE!
October, 2007 a mother left her 17- month old son in the car for at least seven hours while she worked. She was charged with negligent homicide in the child’s death. The high temperature in Phoenix was 89 degrees. Readings inside the vehicle reached upwards of 110 degrees, authorities said. Authorities pronounced the child dead.

August, 2003 Mikey, a 10 month old died tragically when his father left him in the back seat of his car one morning when he went to work and forgot to drop the baby off at daycare. It was the parent’s miracle baby, the last survivor of 14 embryos conceived through in-vitro fertilization but all dreams were shattered on that one busy day. www.4rkidssake.org/mikeysstory.htm
August, 2007 Sophia Knutsen, a 7 month old baby died after being left in her parent’s car. Each parent had thought the other was taking care of the child, who was left in the parking lot of a Washington University School of Medicine parking lot.

I then realized that there must be a solution and that is when the idea of Baby Safety Line came to be. Save your babies life by simply putting a clip on my key chain? A small price to pay to keep your baby safe. Baby Safety Line is a line that you simply clip to your baby’s car seat and clip the other end to your key chain. When you reach your destination, you would naturally turn your ignition off and take your keys to vacate the car. The safety line would be attached to your keys thus allowing you to ALWAYS remember to get your baby.
